3 Best Laptops for Coders in 2021

April 17, 2022

Being a reader of LifeOfCoding, I’m sure you’ll love a collection of laptops that coders can utilize to better their productivity. I’ll be sharing a few laptops here that any coder who’s looking for a new laptop can take a look at and consider buying.

So, without any further ado, let’s dive right in.

#1 HP Spectre x360

HP Spectre x360 has seen a considerable spec upgrade in 2020 from HP. As you may know, they already make some of the best laptops out there, especially the HP Spectre line-up, and now they’ve made it even better with these awesome upgrades that this laptop has become our #1 pick for this list.

You can either purchase it in a 10th gen i5 CPU or an i7 CPU, depending on your needs and tasks that you’ll perform over it, such as programming and maybe even occasional gaming. For gaming, I’d say get the i7 version for sure, because once you decide to game, you don’t want to face lags and other annoying stuff that makes you hate your laptop altogether.  I’ve also done an article over at my blog about cheap laptops that can run Fortnite for people who’re into Fortnite but can’t afford those fancy gaming laptops. Bluestacks

Anyways…

You can get it in either 8GB of RAM or 16GB of RAM, and I’d recommend again, that you go with the 16GB ram version- as I personally like to upgrade everything I can to the max whenever getting a new laptop, so I do not need to upgrade it down the road for at least next five years or so.

This way, when you get the maximum specs at once, the laptop will last for longer for one. It will also give you a lot of pleasure when you finally upgrade to a new technology of processors after 5-6 years of using the old technology. The performance upgrade just blows you away once you get a new laptop after so many years! https://www.theengineer.info/2023/02/wordpress-designing.html

#2 Google Pixelbook

Google’s Chromebooks and PixelBooks are one of my favorite devices to look at! They’re sleek and look neat and just simplistic. Their OS is usually the same story;

elegant and simple!

This Pixelbook has i7 7th gen CPU, which is not something that I like about it because there’s 10th gen laptops out there that are way more efficient than the older 7th gen CPU, less power consumption and more performance.

It has 16GB of RAM and a 512GB of SSD storage, and both of these things are my favorites about it. Although the 7th gen CPU is old, it still kicks ass! Because I’ve been using a 7th gen i7 7700HQ laptop for like three years now- never had a problem.

There’s another thing I do not like about the pixel book, and that’s its price. There’s a few hundred bucks cheaper laptop called Helios 300, and I’d get that any day over this one if you ask me.

#3 MacBook Pro 13” 2020

For one reason or the other, MacBooks have been the favorite laptops that every programmer and web designer and developer, basically all types of creative people move towards MacBooks, maybe because they’re functional and get things done, and there are no hangs? Because when your face hangs and glitches all the time, for one, it frustrates you, and second, it just wastes your time, and time is money as you’ve heard countless times in your life.

Anyways, MacBook Pros. Who doesn’t know them?

The 13 inch MacBook Pro is one of the best laptops you can get for any type of productivity work, especially for coding and programming. Because it is so small that it can fit on all the bags you’d have to lie around, you can take this puppy on traveling if you want to program on the go, and you can just sit anywhere and place it on your lap and start writing the code for your next project!

These tend to have fantastic battery life if you do not do anything substantial that demands CPU and GPU power such as video editing and rendering, especially in Premiere Pro.

Is Windows 11 as bad as so many people claim?

First thoughts It loads fast it has a much better display than Windows 10.  I was not a fan of Windows 10 it was overall very unattractive to see or work with overall and they tried so hard to like force the app ideas towards people which did not improve the user experience in anyway overall just make things get slow or not work well overall. Only thing I did not like the idea of being forced to make a email address or use run it seemed pretty overkill to me.  https://www.techradar.com/news/windows-11-home-and-pro The start up system is a bit slow here since so much updating has  get done in order for it to be ready to work. It would be good idea to not force people to start using Edge give other options such as Chrome or Brave or something else would be good idea since Edge is pretty slow running overall and not that good from a speed viewpoint Brave is my favorite browser at the moment for speed improvements and also because it protects your data better than Googl...
